Pud for all Seasons was founded in early 2004 by Karen Kelly. This stay-at-home mum independently moved to Castlemaine from Melbourne and was looking for a “little” part-time business to satisfy her passion for fine cuisine, and to exercise her creative mind. A selection of fine puddings was the inspired result.
Based in Castlemaine, Pud For All Seasons has fast become renowned for Traditional and Contemporary Gourmet Puddings in Australia. Handmade using free range eggs, fresh oranges and other locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. The Traditional Plum Pudding is Karen’s Grandma’s recipe. The other flavours Karen has created based on Grandmas’ original recipe. Our range also includes our ever popular Christmas Cranberry and White Chocolate Pud and our Chocolate coated “Pud Balls” in five different flavours. Our range wouldn’t be complete without our dessert Sauces to complement our Puds especially our Brandied Butterscotch Sauce.
Many of our suppliers we have met through Farmer’s Markets and we source all other ingredients and packaging as close to home as we can! Our Puds only contain all natural ingredients and we have an extensive range of flavours that please our customers who would not normally eat pudding.
We also try to minimize our environmental footprint as much as possible by reducing our waste and minimizing our use of soft plastics and single use materials. Our organic waste is composted or fed to our goats, chickens and sheep. We try to reduce, re-use or recycle wherever possible.
I find farmer’s markets are fantastic for getting feedback from our customers and many of our flavours and sizes of Puds have been in direct response to a customer requests. We are finding more of our customers asking about the sustainability of our packaging.
